#16 Speaking Part 2 : Describe a time when you encouraged someone to do something that she/he didn't want to do

What you encouraged him/her to do

And explain why you encouraged him/her

Well I am going to share my experience when I convinced my friend to do something that she didn't want to do. And it happened in 2018. As a matter of fact, many of my friends know me as a keen traveler because I adore traveling so much. I believe that by having a short trip, it could help us to unwind ourselves after hard work.

So, in this story, I told my best friend that I wanted to do a short trip to Derawan Island. And I wanted to do this trip alone, but I thought it was going to be a better idea if my best friend could join me to travel to this amazing island. However, Agny refused to join me because he thought this island was not worth it. I mean, he supposed that Derawan Island was not as famous as Bali and the cost to do this trip was so expensive.

However, I keep myself to encourage him to join this trip. And at the end, he finally agreed to join me to visit this paradise island. And during, we did a plethora of activities and we were mesmerized by how stunning Derawan Island was.

My self-correction :

1. Tidak konsisten....temen dalam konteks ini cowok atau cewek wkwk. Karena di awal pembuka aku pake "she" tapi di akhir cerita aku pakai "he"
2. " I believe that by having a short trip". Seharusnya tidak diikuti ole
   
3. "And I wanted to do this trip alone" VERB + TRIP be (away) on, go on, make, take : From here visitors can take a boat trip along the coast to Lundy Island. He makes frequent trips to Poland.
   
4. " it was going to be a better idea". KENAPA SIH AZZAHWA suka banget ya memakai tenses continues gini :(
   
5. "the cost to do this trip was so expensive." Nah ini sama seperti poin pada nomor 3 dimana collocation kata kerja untuk kata benda trip adalah make/take , bukan do.
   
6. "And at the end"  INI SELALU SALAH HHHHH. inget kata kata lagu linkin park :( IN THE END IT DOESNT EVEN MATTER~~
   
7. "I keep myself to encourage him to join this trip."~ini salahnya ada 3 loh ! pertama maunya keep dalam bentuk past tense sehingga menjadi "I kept". Lalu tidak perlu ada kata benda myself disini wkwkwk maunya langsung aja apa yang tetap dilakukan. Lalu lebih tepat konteksnya memakai formula gerund daripada verb infinitif. Sehingga seharusnya menjadi : "I kept encouraging him to join this trip"
