#18 Speaking Part 2 : Describe a time when you felt bored
When it was
Who you were with
What you were doing
Why you felt bored
Well, I am going to share my experience when I was so bored during an event and it actually happened in 2012, at that time I was eight years old. I could vividly remember my mother forced us to attend one of her family gatherings that were held by her office.

So, during this event there was no toys that I could play with. And almost all of the guests in this event were an elderly people. So there was no young children like me that I could interact with. So I just spent my time by watching television and also eating some food and drinking some beverages. I could say that it lasted for about 2 hours and I felt it was so long and it was so dull. And in the end of the day, I couldn't stand it anymore, I cried a lot to attract my mother's attention and I thought she was so devastated by my behavior. But how could I do? Because I was young and I didn't like the idea of attending this event.
My self-correction:
- Khusus untuk poin nomor 2 dan nomor 4,
"No" can indeed be used in this way with both singular and plural nouns. Generally, though, when dealing with hypothetical people (as opposed to specific ones) you'll want to use the singular: "no man," "no woman," "no one," etc.
A good use of "no" with a plural noun would be dealing with specific people or events. "no men are allowed into the women's restroom."
- there was no toys. Jadi ini seharusnya there were no toys
- were an elderly people. ini seharusnya tanpa artikel indefinitif an karena people adalah plural
- there was no young children like me. Merujuk pada poin nomor 1, seharusnya ini menjadi there were no young children like me
- And in the end of the day . Ini malah salah WKWKWk seharusnya menjadi "At the end of the day" karena at digunakan apabila waktu/tempatnya sudah spesifik, tidak general.
- I just spent my time by watching television. Kata kerja spent sama seperti share...tidak diikuti preposisi. Spend kolokasi naturalnya hanya dengan preposisi on. PREP. on The company spent a lot on advertising.
