What if ?

What if I want to work not because of money?

What if I want to work to make sure justice can be found?

What if I want to work to make others can live better?

I was sitting inside this beach club in Gili Island while waiting for my AI to evaluate my report writing about govt policy that we were assessed since last year. Sitting in here was kinda sad, eventho it had been the dream that I wanted : remote working + still get paid + pretty view + affordable cup of americano+ new environment. However, it turned out not as happy as I expected since I was the only indo ppl in this beach club. I can assure you, the rest 98% were foreigner (and probs white ppl from Australia).

Is it this bad? Am i that outlier amongst Indonesia?

Is that true my brother and sister that bad so that they cannot afford this lifestyle like them?

Even in our own soil? Indonesia soil?

Ya Allah, is my nation this miserable in our own land?

I was so sad. Oh Rasul, should we suffer like this? Oh Rasul, if you were me? what will you do? What should i do?

To see how the local people, my brother and sister, wake up so early in the morning, takin the public ferry boat to accros the island, but still get shit money in doing their job? In meeting their ends?

Therefore, Allah, if Allah allows me. please do allows me, to have a blast, to work  passionately in terms to fight this injustice. And Allah, i do trust you. It can be in many ways, it can be through doing research just like I do currently, through conducting a writing, through teaching, through educating, through meeting people, through being an entrepreneurship, through anything. The point is, my chance of being anything is endless and I am a surrender.  I know what I love to do , I know what I can do best, so please channel my passion and this energy to fight for these people, to fight their rights. As long as it is halal, I believe in your plan ya Allah.

I will embark whatever your plan for me in this life. But one thing I ask, please do make me work not to chase the money, but to fight these unfairness, to reveal the truth, to discover the solution to the world problem.  Since i believe in Allah, if I love to do my job, money can follow it later insha allah.
